  • The Bowsprit
Also while in Norfolk VA, the Norwegian tall ship 'Statsraad Lehmkuhl' came in one evening. The crew were up in the yardarms and poised jauntily on the bowsprit, all the while singing chanties in the fading light as the ship came in. This was a long exposure (1/45 s) with a long lens (210 mm), with a fast ISO setting (1600). This caused a grainy effect. I converted it to a sepia, as it was in keeping with the old charm of the age of sail.

Available in a 11 in x 17 in Glicée on archival watercolor paper. Limited edition of 15.
